With the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season kicking off on April 13-14 in Spain at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo, EuroNASCAR revealed today a full grid of 28 cars confirmed to take part full-time in the championship, fielded by 17 teams in representation of nine different countries. The appetite for pure racing is strong and there are several part-time projects in development that will join the grid over the course of the season.
With no less than eleven teams having won at least one race in the past, the level of the competition will be higher than ever and RDV Competition will defend the Teams Championship under a new format that will be announced soon. The team led by Franck Violas will return to the grid with the #3 Chevrolet Camaro led by rising star Paul Jouffreau, who set several records in his EuroNASCAR 2 title run in 2023. There will be a new face in EuroNASCAR 2 for the French team: Patrick Schober, fresh off his first career NASCAR race win.
Italian powerhouse CAAL Racing will field two cars, the #54 and #88 Chevrolet Camaros, featuring reigning EuroNASCAR PRO Champion Gianmarco Ercoli in its lineup. The Italian will be paired with Belgian driver Sven Van Laere.
Team Bleekemolen from the Netherlands will filed the largest fleet on the grid with four cars, the #11, #66, #69 and #72, piloted by an international group of drivers, while Marko Stipp Motorsport is set to expand to three full-time cars – all Camaros, numbered #46, #47 and #48 – for the first time, with the ambition to further climb the ladder in all classifications.
Alongside CAAL Racing, five more teams will field two cars each. Perennial title contender Hendriks Motorsport will put the #50 Toyota Camry and the #7 Ford Mustang on the grid, while the Italian-Monegasque joint venture Academy / Alex Caffi Motorsport will field the #1 Ford Mustang and the #5 EuroNASCAR FJ. Speedhouse from France will return with the #14 and #33 Ford Mustangs and after delivering two wins in its debut season, German team Bremotion will confirm the #99 Chevrolet Camaro and expand with the #77 Chevrolet Camaro. The Club Motorsport will return fielding two Camaros once again, the #43 and the #55.
One of the most successful teams in EuroNASCAR, PK Carsport from Belgium will field one car – the #24 Chevrolet Camaro – as will Swiss team Race Art Technology with the #34 Chevrolet Camaro, 3F Racing from Germany with the #30 Chevrolet Camaro, Double V Racing from Italy with the #27 Ford Mustang, Vict Motorsport with the #8 Chevrolet Camaro and Team Japan Needs24 with the #74 Toyota Camry. Lux Motorsport from Scotland will make its NASCAR debut with the #21 Chevrolet Camaro, while Granducato Speed from Italy will field the #90 Chevrolet Camaro.
The eleventh edition of the NASCAR GP Spain at Valencia will get underway on Thursday, April 11th, with the traditional pre-season prologue and a new parade in town for the fans to get to know drivers and teams before joining the unique EuroNASCAR paddock during the weekend. Qualifying and all races will be broadcasted live on the EuroNASCAR Youtube channel and on many TV channels around the world.
