Reza Sardeha and Michael Bleekemolen confirmed in EuroNASCAR 2

Team Bleekemolen has completed its line-up for the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season. Reza Sardeha will make his EuroNASCAR 2 debut at the wheel of the #11 car and will also compete in the Club Challenge to gain valuable track time in his first year of NASCAR racing. 74-year-old Michael Bleekemolen will continue his quest for the Legend Trophy in EuroNASCAR by taking over the #72 Ford Mustang. Team Bleekemolen will field a total of four cars and will also support the work on the #30 3F Racing Chevrolet Camaro.

Sardeha is 34 years old and was born in Tehran, Iran, but now lives in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The Dutchman is a CEO in the real estate business and an investor in high-tech companies. When he was eleven years old, he drove a kart and immediately fell in love with racing. Strapping up in a EuroNASCAR car is the biggest step of his racing career so far.

“This season I just want to gain experience for next year,” he said. “In 2024 I want to be in the top-18 and in 2025 the goal is to be in the top-10. I love the handling of the car and the great competition in EuroNASCAR.” Sardeha has been concentrating on his job making several companies successful, but now he wants to get to the top of racing. He describes himself as “a consistent driver who doesn’t make mistakes and learns quickly. I take racing very seriously and I want to get better from session to session.”

Bleekemolen has been part of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series paddock since 2019, and will set another record by competing at the age of 74. The former Formula One driver will be vying for the Legend Trophy for drivers aged 40 and over, but his closest rival is teammate Melvin de Groot, the reigning class champion. The Aerdenhout native runs his Race Planet company with his sons Sebastiaan and Jeroen, who are also racers. Sebastiaan will drtive the #69 Ford Mustang in EuroNASCAR PRO.

“The series is very well organized and the cars are fantastic,” said Bleekemolen. “My goal is to fight for podium finishes and win the Legend Trophy. My career highlight so far was winning the Legend Trophy class at Vallelunga in 2023.”- Bleekemolen has a total of four career Legend Trophy race wins, and the oldest driver on the grid is eager to pick up more wins in 2024.

The 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series kicks off April 13-14 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. All races will be broadcast live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel and on numerous television networks around the world.
