Hendriks Motorsport prepares title run with Gil Linster in EuroNASCAR 2

Gil Linster and Hendriks Motorsport will continue their journey together in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, fighting for victories and the EuroNASCAR 2 title. In 2024, the Luxembourger will be back behind the wheel of the #50 Toyota Camry to bring his game to the next level and challenge for the overall championship at the end of seven exciting events across Europe. Linster, who will make his ARCA Menards Series debut at the famed Daytona International Speedway in February, has set his sights high for the upcoming season and is working hard to become the driver to beat in the most unpredictable championship in the world of NWES.

Linster is a true NASCAR racer who joined the official European series in 2017. The 30-year-old improved season after season and became one of the top drivers in EuroNASCAR 2 in 2023. The Frisange native scored his first NWES race win at Zolder, Belgium and finished a strong third in the overall standings. In addition to racing in EuroNASCAR, Linster is working on several programs in the USA as well. He has competed in numerous Late Model events on the other side of the Atlantic in the past and recently tested an ARCA Menards Series Ford Fusion at Daytona.

“For me, EuroNASCAR is the best racing series on our continent with pure racing and close competition,” said Linster about his return to the series and to Hendriks Motorsport. “We have an exciting car with H-pattern shifting and no electronic aids, which makes the series so unique. The sound of the 400 hp V8 engines is unbeatable. In 2024 I want to compete for the title and win the championship. It’s really cool that our EuroNASCAR community is growing every year and I enjoy every moment I get to share with the fans during pit walks, grid walks, parades or in the open paddock.”

With Hendriks Motorsport, Linster has one of the most successful teams in NWES history behind him. Roy and Joep Hendriks have collected two EuroNASCAR PRO and three EuroNASCAR 2 drivers titles to date. The Dutch organization is hungry for more trophies and with Linster, who’s fully concentrating on his racing career in 2024, they have a strong contender for the EuroNASCAR 2 title. Linster’s teammate to drive the #50 Toyota Camry in EuroNASCAR PRO will be announced soon by Hendriks Motorsport. The team has already confirmed Martin Doubek in the #7 Ford Mustang in both championships for the entire 2024 season.

The 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season will kick off April 13-14 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. While Hendriks Motorsport is looking forward to the return of the team’s home race at the Raceway Venray oval, Linster favors the races at Oschersleben as the Luxembourger lives in the German state of Saarland. All races will be broadcast live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel and on several TV channels around the world.
